MAY 1, 2012, MT. PROSPECT, IL— Cummins Allison, a leading innovator and provider of coin currency and check handling solutions, today announced that it will be providing BMO Bank of Montreal with Cummins Allison self-service coin counting machines for use in many of its new branches, as well as in select remodeled branches across Canada.
Cummins Allison high-speed self-service coin machines are able to count mixed Canadian coins at a rate of up to 4,000 per minute. After coins are deposited, the Cummins Allison coin machine issues a receipt for the total, which can then be exchanged at the branch for cash or deposited into a BMO bank account.
"By implementing self-service coin machines, we're able to create positive engagement with our customers and new visitors to our branches and free-up more time for staff to engage in consultative conversations that will help us deepen personal and banking relationships with our customers," said Paul Dilda, head of North American branch channel, BMO Bank of Montreal.
BMO currently has 57 Cummins Allison self-service coin machines in branches across Ontario, British Columbia, Quebec, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.
"We are pleased that BMO has selected our self-service coin machines," said Doug Mennie, president of Cummins Allison. "Given the efficiency and convenience provided by this technology, we expect demand for our coin machines to increase in the years to come."
